Ten years hard work! Trying, failing and
trying again. Only those who fail to try have really
failed. Ten years , frequent setbacks, difficulties, SUCCESSES! We must never stop trying. Despite Natural calamities, financial crises, irritating beaurocracy (mostly Indian) we are still here and our land is prospering. It sustains one family and numerous animals. Red leached soil has become rich dark humus giving nutrition to our plants and us. We have managed to conserve water and are now able to survive the severest droughts. Rainwater harvesting helps to guarantee twelve months supply. Even a white stork has found a home here. Other farmers poision their land and live in unsustainable conditions. We can show a way out of this madness...how to take care of the land: to give as much as we take. Nature can do very well without us but we cannot do without nature! We have found a way to produce pepper, coffee, cardamon, and stevia without harming the enviroment. There are lots of trees and the birds are still singing. We have deliberately kept a large percentage of our land uncultivated, after years of misuse. Now it is time for nature to repair the damage that was done over so many years.
